Garage door service · Maintenance
Your garage door has many moving parts. A tune-up keeps them working, finds worn parts before they fail and helps your door last longer.
You get the price on the phone before we book. Any repair is quoted in writing first.
We call you back within 15 minutes during business hours.
A tune-up is a check-up for your garage door. The technician starts with a full inspection. Some problems are not easy to see, so we examine the whole door for broken or weak parts.
If we find a part that needs repair, you get the price in writing. You decide if we go ahead.
Do a door balance test.
Do an auto-reverse test.
Check the force setting on the opener.
Check and adjust the spring tension.
Clean the safety sensors.
Lubricate all moving parts.
Tighten or replace loose bolts and screws.
Check the hinges, rollers, cables and tracks.
We find worn parts before they fail, so your door does not stop working on a busy morning.
The garage door is the heaviest moving part of your home. Safety tests make sure it stops and reverses as it should.
Clean, lubricated and balanced parts last longer. That includes the springs, the rollers and the opener.
Most homes need a tune-up once or twice a year. The best times are after summer and after winter, because large temperature changes affect the door the most.
A door that opens and closes many times a day needs maintenance more often.

Use a silicone-based garage door lubricant on the moving parts. Do not use a water-based product on the metal parts.
You can lubricate the moving parts and clean the tracks. Do not adjust the springs yourself. They hold a large amount of tension and can cause serious injury. Let a trained technician do it.
