What Is the Platinum Residential Service Plan?
Our Platinum Residential Service Plan provides an extended warranty and discounted service on your new garage door purchased from Fairmount Door Corporation. This plan is available to residential customers only.
With regular upkeep, garage doors and operators can last upwards of 30 years. However, garage doors consist of many moving parts, including tracks, rollers, cables, chains, and more. Without the proper maintenance, any of these parts can become damaged or fail to operate as expected, affecting your garage door opener’s performance.
We make maintaining your garage door simple while providing peace of mind about your investment. With our Platinum Residential Service Plan, you enjoy a 25-year extended warranty on all mechanical parts and a discount on bi-annual professional maintenance service.
Warranty Details
The Platinum garage door maintenance plan includes a 25-year warranty on all of the following parts:
- Hinges
- Top/bottom fixtures
- Cables
- Struts
- Chains/rails
- Bearings
- Vertical/horizontal tracks
- Light bulbs
- Shafts
- Bottom rubber
- Track brackets
- Springs/cones
- Gear kits
- Batteries in remotes
Should any of these parts malfunction due to normal wear and tear, just give us a call, and we will repair or replace them.
Our 25-year warranty does not cover non-mechanical parts, including:
- Circuit boards
- Remotes
- RPM sensors
- Travel modules
- Motors
- Keyless entry
- Wall stations
- Battery backups
- Limit assemblies
- Receivers
The warranty does not cover damage or deterioration caused by misuse or accident, vandalism, or acts of nature. Only modifications performed by Fairmount Door Corporation are covered.
To keep the warranty intact, you must schedule maintenance at least once every two years. However, we offer one-time forgiveness if you miss a year. Just make sure to schedule your maintenance appointment within three years of the last service to keep your warranty valid.

Pricing Information
The Platinum Residential Service Plan requires an upfront fee of $499 for the door only or $99 for the operator only. With this plan, you can schedule bi-yearly service for only $150 per visit per door. We will reach out to you every other year to schedule maintenance.
Any other maintenance or emergency service you need will be a flat $150 fee for labor plus the cost of parts, if applicable. When you contact us, you’ll receive guaranteed next-day servicing and no overtime fees or additional labor costs.

Schedule Bi-Yearly Service To Extend Your Garage Door’s Lifespan
Our Platinum Residential Service Plan includes discounts on bi-yearly preventative maintenance. With this service, you will receive a thorough garage door inspection every other year, during which we evaluate your door, operator, and all parts for damage.
We will then perform a few tests to assess your garage door’s performance. The door balance, reversal, and force setting tests ensure your garage door operates as it should.
We will also perform the following maintenance tasks as part of your bi-annual maintenance plan:
- Tighten your garage door spring
- Replace loose bolts and screws
